Each chapter also includes suggestions about what kind of fabric to use in each piece of clothing. Draping involves working with fabric directly on the dress stand, allowing designers to bring their creations to life, adapting the style and fit as they work. The results are new styles, cuts and lines that give life to a new three-dimensional prototype, without the standardised restrictions of paper patterns.
